ICL v BCCI

The Indian Cricket League, a Twenty20 tournament run by the Zee conglomerate, was opposed, right from its creation in 2007, by the Indian board. The BCCI denied official sanction and barred players and officials from affiliating with it; as overseas players joined it other national boards followed suit. After two stormy years the BCCI - and other boards - declared an amnesty for those who cut ties with the ICL, a move that could cripple the league.
