Herbert Benka was a middle-order batsman and slow left-armer who played for Middlesex between 1933 and 1936. In 11 matches for Middlesex he averaged only 16.22 but he took 4 for 78 for Minor Counties v New Zealanders in 1937 and in 1939 made a career-best 59 for MCC v Cambridge University while batting at No.10.
