Gareth Harte

Gareth Harte, born in South Africa but holder of a British passport, joined Durham in May 2017 after scoring 183 against Northants in a Second XI fixture. He finished the season by picking up the Second XI Player of the Season award.

He made a Twenty20 debut first, but it was in the longer format where he most interested Durham. He struck a maiden Championship century against Derbyshire in 2018 and added a second against Middlesex at the end of the season. His returns were less impressive the following summer, when he managed 459 runs at 22.95 from 11 appearances, but did produce career-best figures with the ball in the win over Derbyshire.
