Alex Milton hit an unbeaten hundred on his Championship debut for Worcestershire against Somerset in 2018. And the records did not end there as Milton joined No 11 Steve Magoffin to share a record last-wicket stand for Worcestershire of 136. Quite a feat after Milton had arrived at the crease to defend a hat-trick at 65 for 5.

Milton became only the second Englishman to score a century on his Championship debut for Worcestershire, at New Road, following George Fiddian-Green against Essex at New Road in 1931. Fiddian-Green went on to become a master at Malvern College, a connection with Milton who was schooled there.
