New Zealand v Bangladesh

New Zealand won by an innings and 137 runs

Overs 1-50  | Overs 51-100  | Overs 101-150

1.5

Sajedul Islam to Bell, OUT, Bangladesh strike early.... short of a length outside the leg stump, the ball holds its line, Bell swivels and tries to pull, plays too early, there was a sound as the ball passed him, the keeper and Islam are confident and umpire Nigel Llong is convinced. Bell looks unhappy though and shakes his head. The snickometer didn't really reveal an edge off the bat or glove. Replays showed the ball clipping his thigh pad before reaching the keeper.

MD Bell c †Mushfiqur Rahim b Sajedul Islam 1 (8m 7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 14.28

New Zealand 2/1   CD Cumming 1* (4b)   Sajedul Islam 0.5-0-0-1

8.6

Mashrafe Mortaza to Fulton, OUT, another quick strike.... pitches short of a length in the region outside the off stump, comes in after pitching, Fulton has a half stride forward and tries to tuck it to the on side, the ball strikes him high on the front pad and umpire Peter Parker is convinced. It may have gone over the stumps....

PG Fulton lbw b Mashrafe Mortaza 22 (29m 24b 3x4 1x6) SR: 91.66

New Zealand 35/2   CD Cumming 8* (25b 1x4)   Mashrafe Mortaza 5-1-14-1

35.1

Shakib Al Hasan to Cumming, OUT, the change of ends pays off for Shakib.....he fires this one flat and fast, the ball lands on a fullish length on middle stump, Cumming plants his front foot forward and meets the ball on the pads. That looked like hitting middle stump and Umpire Llong didn't take too long to decide on that

CD Cumming lbw b Shakib Al Hasan 42 (150m 114b 7x4 0x6) SR: 36.84

New Zealand 118/3   SP Fleming 32* (70b 5x4)   Shakib Al Hasan 3.1-1-8-1

60.5

Shahadat Hossain to Sinclair, OUT, Shahadat finally gets lucky with a wicket.... pitches just outside off, gets a bit of inward movement, Sinclair shapes to drive past mid-off but doesn't cover the line, he gets a thick outside edge low to Rahim who dives to his right and takes it with both hands. After several dropped catches, this one finally sticks

MS Sinclair c †Mushfiqur Rahim b Shahadat Hossain 47 (121m 81b 7x4 0x6) SR: 58.02

New Zealand 214/4   SP Fleming 75* (144b 12x4)   Shahadat Hossain 14.5-2-46-1

62.2

Shahadat Hossain to Oram, OUT, pitches on middle, cuts in just a fraction, it slices Oram in half and leaves a bit of daylight between bat and pad, there was a sound and the fielders and bowler appeal for a catch. Umpire Parker raises his finger. Replays however showed the ball clipping the pad, that too over the stumps

JDP Oram c †Mushfiqur Rahim b Shahadat Hossain 1 (6m 8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 12.50

New Zealand 216/5   SP Fleming 76* (145b 12x4)   Shahadat Hossain 15.2-2-46-2

71.1

Shakib Al Hasan to Fleming, OUT, he's thrown it away.... flighted on off and middle, Fleming takes a few paces down and goes for the loft over deep midwicket, he doesn't go through with the loft properly and as a result skies it to Aftab at deep midwicket who takes it easily

SP Fleming c Aftab Ahmed b Shakib Al Hasan 87 (279m 170b 13x4 0x6) SR: 51.17

New Zealand 242/6   BB McCullum 15* (28b 1x4 1x6)   Shakib Al Hasan 13.1-5-29-2

86.3

Shahadat Hossain to McCullum, OUT, short of a length on middle, the ball holds its line, McCullum tries to flick across the line to square leg but gets a leading edge to Aftab at cover point. Catches don't come easier than that

BB McCullum c Shakib Al Hasan b Shahadat Hossain 40 (105m 75b 5x4 1x6) SR: 53.33

New Zealand 323/7   DL Vettori 48* (46b 9x4)   Shahadat Hossain 23.3-3-73-3

96.4

Mashrafe Mortaza to Mills, OUT, timber....pitches on off and middle, the ball holds its line, Mills tries to play straight but doesn't get behind the line, gets a thin inside edge and the ball goes through the gate between the off and middle stumps

KD Mills b Mashrafe Mortaza 4 (48m 42b 0x4 0x6) SR: 9.52

New Zealand 362/8   DL Vettori 69* (70b 13x4)   Mashrafe Mortaza 25.4-5-80-2

101.1

Aftab Ahmed to Vettori, OUT, what a tame end....Vettori gets a juicy pitched up delivery on the pads, he tries to work it through the on side but comes on to the shot rather early, it results in a friendly scoop back to the bowler

DL Vettori c & b Aftab Ahmed 94 (136m 87b 17x4 0x6) SR: 108.04

New Zealand 390/9   IE O'Brien 1* (10b)   Aftab Ahmed 11.1-3-29-1

103.2

Aftab Ahmed to O'Brien, OUT, that's cleaned him up.....pitches on off stump and straightens, O'Brien gets forward to defend but doesn't behind the line at all, the ball goes through and shaves the off stump

IE O'Brien b Aftab Ahmed 4 (29m 14b 0x4 0x6) SR: 28.57

New Zealand 393/10   CS Martin 0* (9b)   Aftab Ahmed 12.2-4-31-2
