Edwards to Ryder, no run, blocked straight back to the bowler

Well unfortunately some hail has started to fall along with the rain and the umpires usher the groundsmen on who hastily push on the covers. The forecast is not good I'm afraid but we will keep you posted

3.00pm It is still raining at the moment and there is no sign of it stopping in the near future. A lot of the supporters have taken refuge inside the stadium or under covered stands. The players and umpires are nowhere to be seen and the grounds staff look longingly out through the rain. The forecast is for more rain this afternoon so things not looking good right now but we will keep you informed

4.30pm Well I'm afraid to say that there has been no improvement in conditions here and any signs of play this afternoon are now looking highly unlikely

6.00pm Finally some good news to bring. Things are looking a lot brighter out there as the rain as eased off and with no more the players could be back out there in about 20 minutes.

Looks like the players are heading back out to the middle where will now have a reduced game at 28 overs a side.
