True, Kohli is a highly talented batsmen who has thrashed us many a time. But he lacks Dhoni's composure and specially the humbleness. There are many better leaders in Indian squad than Kohli. India is better off having Kohli just as a specialised batsmen and having someone else at the helm.

after the loss against Sri Lanka it is almost certain that India will be out of the tri series but it was quite surprising to see the negative approach of these young Indian bats men's while chasing such a huge target. It just shows the impact of Dhoni's presence in the team makes a lot of difference.

@Mohammed Ilyas, I won't go as far to say Kohli is not captaincy material. A match or two doesn't prove anything. All it showed us is how important MSD is to this young side and the fact that Kohli is not ready to be the sole leader yet. Grooming him as the future captain under Dhoni might just be solution.

Now you people will realize how important is MSD's captaincy, his captaincy always adds vital assist to Indian team its worthless saying I am one of his biggest fan and I am sure many Pakistani fans like MSD and want to see him playing cricket forever. And I believe captain of Mumbai Indians should have captained India in absence of MSD as I have seen Kohli captaining RCB.

There is no doubt Kohli is very talented and skillful batsman but he lacks the leadership qualities like Ganguly, Dravid and MSD. BCCI should think of other options may be Raina or Rohit Sharma (but he needs to perform consistently). Now we know one person (MSD) makes how much impact, his presence is enough to lift the team. I reckon India will be out of Tri series and Zimbabwe series wont be a cake walk either !!!!
