Bashir Miandad was one of four brothers who played first-class cricket in Pakistan, though only one, Javed, went on to don national colours. A righ-hand batsman and a medium-pacer, Bashir represented Habib Bank without much success. He breathed his last in December 2009, succumbing to injuries after a grievous road accident.
