30.4 to Kamran Akmal, THAT'S GONE! It was bound to happen, outside off stump and Akmal pushes hard at it, flies off the edge and straight to third slip who gobbles the chance with ease. Good job Steyn kept his foot behind the line with that one and he gets his name in the wicket-takers list. Pakistan in a huge hole here.. 90/6
13.1 | 2 | 44 | 4 | 3.34 | 54 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
7.1 to Mohammad Hafeez, there's the breakthrough! And it's de Villiers making immediate amends at third slip. Fuller length from Ntini, angled into the batsman, and Hafeez can only fence a simple chance off the leading edge of the bat. Pakistan's opening problems continue. 13/1 11.4 to Yasir Hameed, GOTTIM! That's the length, there but not quite there for the drive, angled in from outside off stump, and Jacques Kallis at second slip plucked a sharp chance at head-height. Pakistan are officially wobbling now. 27/2 41.1 to Shahid Nazir, oops, that's not what was needed from the tail. Short and aimed at the body, Nazir took it on and miscued a horrible hoick to Paul Harris at midwicket. That came high off a top-edge, and Yousuf looks daggers as he leaves the field. With good reason. Another one bites the dust. 155/8 43.1 to Mohammad Yousuf, and that's that! Pitched right up in the blockhole, Yousuf went for a big mow, and Ashwell Prince circled beneath the ball at mid-off, and clutched a simple chance to his chest. 157/10
11 | 1 | 42 | 4 | 3.81 | 48 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
16.5 to Imran Farhat, there it is! Well, you have to say that was coming! A fraction fuller, a fraction less seam movement, and a bit of extra bounce. Farhat could only fence that one straight to Graeme Smith at first slip, and Pakistan are in all sorts of bother!. 47/3 18.6 to Younis Khan, ANOTHER ONE! That's a horrible loose shot from Younis, and a massive breakthrough. Wide and wider outside off, and Younis's carve is plucked by a leaping de Villiers at third slip. That wasn't an easy chance, but it was a gimme of a wicket. Not clever at all from the batsman. 54/4 40.1 to Mohammad Sami, there's the breakthrough! Short and rising from Kallis, Sami swats loosely, more in self-preservation than anything else, and Boucher takes a comfortable catch. Good resolute effort from Sami, but South Africa have their opening. 150/7 42.3 to Danish Kaneria, GOTTIM! Kallis chisels another one, his fourth. That was just in the channel on off stump, and Kaneria couldn't help but take a swing and feather an edge to the keeper, Boucher. Yousuf is going to be left high and dry at this rate. 157/9
8 | 2 | 29 | 1 | 3.62 | 36 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
27.4 to Inzamam-ul-Haq, GOT 'IM! What a beauty from Hall, didn't swing like the earlier deliveries, Inzamam was forced to play it and feathered an edge through to Mark Boucher. Hall deserved that wicket and South Africa are now through the top order.. 81/5 |

0.3 to HH Dippenaar, GOTTIM! That's a massive start for Pakistan, and Asif has the breakthrough already! Dippenaar got half a stride in, the ball struck him midway up his pad, and Hawkeye shows that would have struck leg. Great bowling!. 0/1 2.6 to HM Amla, THERE IT IS! Brilliant probing bowling from Asif, doing all the basics perfectly and Amla was induced into a drive that wasn't quite there for the taking. A thin feathered catch through to Kamran Akmal, and Pakistan are right back in the reckoning!. 12/2 42.1 to PL Harris, CLEANED UP. Sucker punch from Asif. Juicy fuller ball outside off stump. Harris goes for the expansive drive but manages only to get a thick edge. Flies to second slip where Younis Khan snaps up a straightforward waist-high chance. It's his ninth catch of the series, the most by any fielder including wicketkeepers.. 133/7
9 | 1 | 41 | 2 | 4.55 | 38 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
22.5 to JH Kallis, OUT! Well, that's a remarkable dismissal, quite out of the blue. Kallis was looking so solid, but then played a loose drive to a good-length delivery that seamed in a touch, and grazed the inside-edge through to the keeper! Massive and timely breakthrough for Pakistan. 92/3 52.6 to M Ntini, all over! yorker on the stumps, Ntini goes low to defend but fails to make contact and the ball thuds into his back pad. Up goes the finger and Boucher is stranded on 40. 183/10
8 | 0 | 37 | 1 | 4.62 | 32 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
28.5 to GC Smith, WHAT A CATCH! Inzamam-ul-Haq just stuck out his left mitt, and clung onto an absolute screamer at first slip! That was extraordinary - a little bit more effort from Nazir, and Smith fenced at the ball as it climbed across him and past his outside edge. Inzy though ... it was like he was just plucking flies in the desert. 107/4
20 | 6 | 44 | 3 | 2.20 | 92 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
37.3 to AB de Villiers, he's done him with a wrong'un! Sublime bowling from Kaneria - the perfectly pitched googly, not remotely picked by de Villiers, and bowled through the gate with just minutes to go until the close! Wonderful stuff, and Pakistan are still fighting. 128/5 41.5 to AG Prince, GONE, GOOGLY Superbly set-up by Kaneria. Full ball, this time spinning away. Prince beaten in the flight as he tries to drive to the on side. The ball spins away, bounces off Akmal and loops up for Yasir Hameed at silly mid-off. He dives in front and completes the catch. Replays show that the ball might have missed the bat, with the noise coming from the bat hitting the ground.Akmal missed the googly as well but Hameed completed the catch. Steven Bucknor contemplates a while before raising the finger of death. Princedoesn't hide his disappointment. But what a ball!. 133/6 45.3 to AJ Hall, WHAT A RIPPER. Tantalisingly bowled by Kaneria. Legbreak on leg stump, well flighted and Hall tries to turn it across the turn to the leg side. Ball kisses the edge and nestles in Akmal's gloves. This is an outstanding piece of legspin bowling and Hall can only trudge back solemnly.. 140/8 |

12.4 to Younis Khan, SUCKER PUNCH! Full ball outside off but not full enough for the drive. Younis goes for the expansive drive through the covers but only manages to get an edge. Mark Bouucher leaps up and gathers a clean catch as Pakistan lose animportant wicket.. 44/3
13 | 3 | 47 | 3 | 3.61 | 60 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 4 | |
5.5 to Mohammad Hafeez, There is it! Inevitable it seems. Full and wide outside off, that was another carrot dangled to Hafeez. He fell for the bait this time and went for the drive. Can't keep it down and slashes it in the air only for Ashwell Prince to jump up at backward point and pull off a sharp catch.. 17/1 9.2 to Imran Farhat, CRACKER OF A DELIVERY! Full ball, starts from outside off and swings it back into Farhat. Comes back teasingly and beats him neck and crop. Ball judders into the pads and Farhat is caught plumb in front. Superb deception from Steyn, Farhat has to walk back.. 28/2 34.3 to Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Steyn delivers the killer punch! full and in the right slot outside the off stump to draw Inzi forward into the drive. Inzi goes at it with no real footwork and is done in by the late away swing, just enough swing on this occasion to clip the outside edge and Boucher makes no mistake behind the stumps. That's the wicket they wanted and Inzamam drags himself off the field, wonder if we will see him in whites again. Hopefully yes.. 121/7
7 | 0 | 36 | 2 | 5.14 | 28 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
48.6 to Shahid Nazir, THAT"S IT! Full and swinging away, Nazir goes for the manic swing again but only managed to edge to Boucher behind the stumps. A solid 55-run stand comes to and end and Kallis has produced the breakthrough. 176/8 50.2 to Mohammad Sami, KILLER BALL! Short and straight from Kallis. Well directed bouncer and Sami can't resist. He goes for the pull and ends up scooping it high to square leg, where Hashim Amla takes a simple chance. End of a crucial innings from Sami.. 179/9
7 | 1 | 23 | 2 | 3.28 | 31 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
22.1 to Mohammad Yousuf, HUGE! WHAT A BIG WICKET! Andrew Hall take a bow. That's one of the best deliveries you'll see. Full and swinging in. Yousuf goes for the drive but can't make allowance for the movement. Beaten hook, line and sinker as the ball takes a thin inside edge, deflects from the pad and knocks back the top of middle stump. What a delivery, just what South Africa needed. 83/4 24.4 to Yasir Hameed, GONE! CATCH! That was inevitable, it seemed. Hameed was looking edgy in the last few overs and he hasn't been able to resist. Hall throws the teasing full ball outside off and Hameed goes for the airy flash only to see Ashwell Prince dive to his left and pull off a peach of a catch. His second catch of the innings and Pakistan now in some bother. 92/5
14.2 | 2 | 31 | 2 | 2.16 | 64 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
29.2 to Kamran Akmal, CLASSIC SPINNER'S DISMISSAL! Harris loops and teases, flights it from off, breaks it past the outstretched bat. Akmal is just out of the crease and can't get back in time before Boucher ships off the bails in a superb motion. That is a delightful dismissal. Harris must be pleased as punch. Third umpire takes his time but finally makes the decision. Akmal must begin his long walk.. 111/6 51.2 to Mohammad Asif, CLEANED UP! Flighted up from Harris, outside off and spinning in. Asif can't resist and slogs across the line, dragging the ball from outside off stump and presenting Ashwell Prince with a simple chance at mid-on. As easy as it gets, bowling change brings a wicket.. 186/10 |

12.4 to GC Smith, GONE! What a wicket for Asif. Pitched on leg stump, Smith plays all around it, hits the back pad, and the ball would have taken middle. Huge strike for Pakistan and it's certainly game on here.. 36/3 16.4 to HM Amla, THAT'S GONE! Oh boy, it's all happening this morning. Amla was worked over by Asif, who pitched this one on off stump, Amla offered a straight bat but the ball took the outside edge and went through to Akmal. Asif knows it's out and Amla walks. 39/4

The ball strikes the back of his bat and loops up for Kamran Akmal to complete a simple catch behind the stumps. Forgetabble game for Dippenaar. Game on?. 30/1 11.1 to PL Harris, GONE! Yorker-length delivery from Kaneria, the quicker delivery there. Harris can't get his bat down in time but the ball thuds into the pad as well. Huge appeal and umpire Parker raises the finger. Replays show that the ball probably hit the bat first but Harris has to go.. 36/2
