Scorecard
Mohammad Talha once again impressed with the ball as Pakistan Cricket Academy beat the Zimbabwe Board XI to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Talha had claimed a four-wicket haul in the first ODI, also in Harare.
Batting first, Pakistan were reduced 45 to 3 by opening bowler Taurai Muzarabani. They had to rely on Fawad Alam, who top scored with 68, to get them out of trouble. Alam put on 65 runs for the fifth wicket with Ali Asad before he fell to Cephas Zhuwawo. Asad took charge after Alam's fall, scoring 49 off 64 balls to ensure Pakistan went past 200.
Zimbabwe lost Friday Kasteni early to Junaid Khan, but they moved along quickly to 63 on account of some big hitting from Zhuvawo. But Pakistan found an opening when Talha dismissed Chamu Chibhabha and then cut short Zhuvawo's innings at 38, which came off 41 balls. Talha took three more wickets as Zimbawe collapsed to 103 for 6. The result looked like a foregone conclusion with Zimbabwe at 149 for 9. Timycen Maruma, though, created a few flutters with his 50 - adding 40 for the final wicket with Muzarabani (17) - but Pakistan prevailed by 24 runs.
