SA would be relieved they have sewed this one up and happy that their batsmen adapted to the conditions better in the second innings.

Ashraful: "The boys played well. I think we needed 50 or 60 runs more. We should have scored 250+ in the first innings. Shahadat bowled really well on this kind of track."

Smith: It was a hard-fought game and I am very happy. Our batting let us down in the first innings but when the pressure was on and it really counted the boys played well in the second innings. It has taken some time to get used to the conditions here and they showed in the second innings that they have done that. It augurs well for the second Test and the Indian series coming up.'
