9.22pm: What a bizarre game of 100-ball cricket, clinched by the 13th four of Reece Topley's 199-match T20 career. Thanks for tuning in tonight, and we'll be back tomorrow to bring you the Superchargers against the Fire at Headingley.

ShahSafeer: "This region of the world is not stopping to produce nail biters anytime soon"

Tymal Mills is named Match Hero. "[Never in doubt?] We managed to somehow get ourselves in a position where it was in our hands. Craig-O pulled some big hits out. Always great to win close games like that. [Own batting?] Bat on ball was the main thing. Brilliant knock from him. Try to take it as deep as we could. [Bowling?] It was a wicket that rewarded you for hitting the pitch hard. We were a bit full in the Powerplay. We tried to communicate as quickly as possible. We were happy at halfway, and probably made harder work of it then we would have liked. [Result?] A win is important, only an eight-game group stage. Hopefully it gives us some really good momentum."

9.17pm: Phew. That should have been a cruise for Southern Brave who were absolutely flying towards their target when Jason Roy got stuck into James Anderson. The Originals fought back well through Currie, Noor and Baker, leaving 26 required off the last 11. But then Overton, Mills and Topley got busy, and took the Brave home with a ball to spare.

Gregory to Topley, FOUR runs

width outside off... Topley wins it! Flashes hard outside his off stump, beats the diving point fielder, and it dribbles away to the rope. Great moment for Topley on debut... but the Originals will wonder how on earth they have lost this!

Reece Topley. Top score in his previous 198 T20s is 14 not out. 1 not out off 1 ball would do nicely right now for the Brave. 3 required off 2. Buttler is down to one glove.

98
W
Gregory to Mills, OUT

picks out deep cover! Oh no! Tymal Mills, what were you thinking? Looks to win it off his own bat, throwing his hands at a length ball, but it's melted straight to Currie on the rope. This is going all the way to the wire

Tymal Mills c Currie b Gregory 8 (4b 0x4 1x6 8m) SR: 200

Overton and Mills have a mid-pitch meeting. "Nothing silly," is surely the message. Take a single and get the big man back on strike? 3 off 3 required.

97
1
Gregory to Overton, 1 run

sits up from outside off, swung down to long-on for one

4 off 4, two wickets in hand.

96
Gregory to Overton, no run

back of a length, looks to slap him away through the off side but can only miscue back on the bounce

Lewis Gregory will bowl the final five balls. Somerset to Somerset. Square leg, midwicket and long-on are back, plus third man and point.

Baker to Mills, 1 run

wide on the crease, beaten for pace by the in-ducker and Mills is struck on the back hip. But the ball balloons away into the off side, and they pinch the single

Originals need a wicket. Brave need to get Overton back on strike.

94
1
Baker to Overton, 1 run

short ball, pulled off the ribs down to Noor at long leg. They think about two, but decide against

93
4
Baker to Overton, FOUR runs

beats square leg this time! Back of a length, sits up nicely, and worked away into the gap! Overton is taking down his old Somerset team-mate

Wow, 10 off 8. The game has swung all the way back.

92
4
Baker to Overton, FOUR runs

wide on the crease, frees his arms again. Cover and mid-off are running back... Currie drops it running back, and Salt can't flick it back as he chases it to the rope!

91
6
Baker to Overton, SIX runs

in the slot, and disappears over long-on! 88mph but that is nothing more than a half-volley, and Craig Overton frees his arms to clear Anderson on the rope

Baker to finish his allocation. 20 off 10 is the equation, but only two wickets remaining. Four men out on the leg side, plus deep cover.

28 off 13 is the equation. Tymal Mills walks out.

87
W
Currie to Michael Bracewell, OUT

another one bites the dust! The slower ball does the trick again, and Currie has four! Sits up for Bracewell, who looks to bludgeon it back down the ground. But he can only edge behind to Buttler, and that is surely the game done

Michael Bracewell c †Buttler b Currie 2 (5b 0x4 0x6 11m) SR: 40

1w
Currie to Michael Bracewell, 1 wide

wide outside off, Bracewell charges down and stays leg-side of it as he looks to launch over the off side. Marginal call on the wide goes Brave's way

86

Currie to Overton, 1 run

tip-and-run to short cover, getting Bracewell back on strike

86
1w
Currie to Overton, 1 wide

wide outside off, can't reach it

Currie to continue.

Craig Overton is another who can give it a thump. But he'll need to get going quickly.

Pete: "Poor strike rotation broke Roy's flow... probably cost the game. Still important to keep the NRR high though."

85
W
Currie to Jordan, OUT

nicks the slower ball behind! Wide outside off stump, deceives Jordan, and his outside edge lobs through to Buttler. Diving catch to his right, and the Originals are closing in

Chris Jordan c †Buttler b Currie 8 (5b 1x4 0x6 5m) SR: 160

Pravin Jadhav: "This lad Sonny Baker should be in England Test team against Australia!! He is too good!!" -- Very impressive start to the Hundred for him.

84

Currie to Jordan, 2 runs

swung into the leg side, Gregory slides around at deep midwicket

83
4
Currie to Jordan, FOUR runs

half-volley, sliding onto the pads. Whipped away through backward square leg and Baker makes a hash of it on the rope, looking to parry it back and only managing to push it over the rope

half-volley, punched over cover for a couple
