Scorecard
Fifties from Mithun Ali and Mominul Haque ensured Bangladesh A were able to chase down 189 as they beat Bangladesh by eight wickets, and in turn swept the three-match series 3-0. Bangladesh entered the contest having already conceded the series on Thursday, but were looking to save face with a consolation win. After winning the toss they decided to have a bat, but that looked a dicey decision when opener Soumya Sarkar was removed in the first over without anything on the board.
Both openers departed with the score on 21 before Shamsur Rahman (37) and the captain, Mushfiqur Rahim (38), combined to put on 55 for the third wicket. Once the pair departed, however, Bangladesh A began to lose wickets regularly. Abdur Razzak clubbed an unbeaten 15-ball 36 at the end to help Bangladesh reach a challenging 188 for 9. Seamer Muktar Ali was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 21.
Bangladesh A's chase began positively, with Marshall Ayub and Mominul Haque contributing 74 for the opening stand. Mominul went on to hit 55 off just 23 balls, which included nine fours and two sixes, before he fell off the bowling of Al-Amin Hossain. Mithun Ali and Sabbir Rahman built on the good work of the openers as they saw off the remainder of the chase with 3.3 overs to spare. Mithun finished unbeaten on 67 off 30 balls, while Sabbir hit a 27-ball 37.
