Hogan bowls Western Australia to victory

A five-wicket haul from Michael Hogan delivered victory to Western Australia as Tasmania collapsed on the third day in Hobart

Western Australia 258 and 187 (M Marsh 70, Fekete 4-54, Rainbird 3-32) beat Tasmania 196 and 165 (Doolan 75, Hogan 5-37) by 84 runs
Scorecard
A five-wicket haul from Michael Hogan delivered victory to Western Australia as Tasmania collapsed on the third day in Hobart. Alex Doolan was the only batsman who looked like he might steer the Tigers to their target of 250, but when he fell to the bowling of Ashton Agar for 75, Tasmania were still 101 runs short of their target and they were unable to add many more.
Tasmania have now lost three of their six matches this summer, leaving them in a precarious position in their title defence as the Shield goes on hiatus for the duration of the Big Bash League. They had some hope of posting a second victory for the season while Doolan was at the crease but only three other batsmen reached double-figures - but none passed 25 - before Hogan demolished the tail to finish with 5 for 37.
Tasmania were bowled out for 165, losing their last seven wickets for 35 runs as Western Australia took control. The Warriors had resumed the third day on 5 for 115 and Mitchell Marsh's 70 helped push them along to 187, which proved adequate in a match in which the hosts were unable to pass 200 in either innings.
