11.25 pm local time: Mumbai Indians become the first team to win six matches in row. What a turnaround after they lost their first four. The game was finished as a contest after Mumbai dismissed Afridi, Gilchrist and Sharma cheaply.

Nehra did a superb job of keeping Gilchrist quiet and then Fernando, playing his second game of the tournament for the injured Pollock, delivered the knock-out punch by dismissing Gilchrist and Sharma in the same over.

"It's got to be such a disappointment for the Deccan Chargers, after having picked easily the best batting team on paper, to have performed in such a manner. I think, however, its great to see the local boys doing so well for all the teams, not just Deccan Chargers. Such locals as Rao, Teja and Nayar from today's match and many others from the other 6 teams," says Srinivasan.

Dwayne Bravo is the Man of the Match in his last game for the Mumbai Indians. He's leaving for West Indies for the home series against Australia. He's signed off in style: scoring 30 off 17 and taking 3 for 24.

However, his best moment, according to me at least, came in the field when he pulled off a supreme bit of athleticism: Rao had lofted the ball over cover, Bravo was on the boundary and he sprinted towards his left, he got to the ball as it was sailing over the boundary and took the catch while running backwards, he realised that he was going to go over the line because of his momentum and had the presence of mind to throw the ball back in, unfortunately he his foot had landed outside the boundary just before he released the ball, he manged to jump over the ad boards as well and avoid a nasty collision. It was all very dramatic.

We've come to the end of our IPL coverage today. Thank you for all your emails. We'll be back tomorrow at 7.15 pm for the game between Bangalore and Delhi. For now this is George Binoy signing off. Good night!

"Rao has been making a habit of this - converting utter disasters into merely comprehensive defeats. One always gets the feeling he leaves the charge for too late and opens out only when he has nothing to lose," says Rahul.

I think Halhadar Das is the new batsman.
