chips it back at the bowler. And that's the game for KKR. A googly, lobbed up nicely on middle stump. Boult wants to flick through midwicket but he's done by the turn and finds the bowler
KKR vs Daredevils, 13th match at Kolkata, Apr 16 2018 - Match Result
11:39pm And that is all from our ball-by-ball coverage tonight! Our post-match show is live right now on the homepage, so make sure you catch our experts over there. We'll have Karthik's report coming in soon and we have so much more to follow. Catch them all! Good night!
Rana: I've got out unluckily a few times. But I felt like I was in good form. This knock was important to me. I have a bit of an idea when I see the field and I get more options as a result. I think the other team planned not to bowl outside off to me so tpoday I decided if they bowl straight, I would hit through the leg side.
Nitish Rana is the Man of the Match.
D Karthik: (About the Iyer wicket) We do a bit of planning and the most important thing was the catch from Rana. At the end of the way, a win keeps you happy. Feels good. Touch wood. This is the kind of day you make the moves and they work out. I think the wristspinners are picked in the IPL for a purpose. They're doing a good job for us, they're top quality spinners. Days you don't win you sleep and wake up with a lot of thoughts. It's something I'm getting used to. You've got to try and separate your batting and captaincy and do the job.
Narine: I don't think I'm upto 100% (with the bowling) but I'm keeping it simple. It felt a little weird knowing Gambhir was on the opposite side. But that's the way cricket works. I think I'm slightly different to an ordinary spinner but I think it's based on accuracy. Try to do new things and hopefully it works in the game.
Gambhir: We got to give it to KKR. At one stage we thought they wouldn't get 170-175. We tried our level best but it's going to be tough against three quality spinners like theirs. We bowled a lot of balls in Russell's radar. We had plans for him but when he gets going it's tough for the bowlers to execute the plans. We still have ten more games to go, a lot of work to do.
11:20pm Delhi lost their first three wickets in three overs, they've lost their last seven in under six. Seven for 43 off 5.5 overs, to be precise. Quite the capitulation. KKR only slightly improved on their pace bowling today. Remember, their seamers had gone for 79 off seven in the last game when the spinners had gone for 60 in 12.
full ball floated wide outside off. Lifts it inside-out to sweeper cover
length ball outside off, shuffles across and blocks on the front foot. A gorgeous forward block from Boult, as always.
taken at midwicket. Length ball at off stump, turning away from him. Steps out as it climbs on him. Looks to go over the leg side but ends up slicing it high into the air
length on middle stump, leans in and flicks to deep midwicket
short of a length outside off, steps out and jabs it through point
short of a length just outside off, nudged past cover off the back foot
good length on middle stump. Spins into the pads as he looks to flick
First slip and leg slip in place
Munendra Singh: "Half tracker only works if it's bowled by a wrist spinner. It's those revs which do the magic"
sails over first slip. A googly, full outside off. Once again, he's looking to go midwicket. It's a top edge
googly. Short of a length outside off. Sets up for the slog, adjusts for the cut. Doesn't get bat on it in the end
short googly outside off, under-edge on the cut through cover
length on off, pushed to extra cover off the front foot
high in the air before it plonks some five yards inside the circle. Too far from long-on. The bowler should have gone for that, really. It's a googly, and he gets a top edge as he looks to clobber it over midwicket
full toss on leg stump, laboured drive to long-on
full floater outside off, guided straight to deep point
loud appeal for lbw. It's given. Shankar will review this. He's caught on the back foot trying to flick. He's shuffled too. Middle and leg stump visible. This will be plumb if he hasn't got bat on it. Pitching outside off, spinning back in...and hitting off stump.
length ball on middle stump. Dabbed through square leg off the back foot
Slip in place
bowled him. Narine with a nice loopy offbreak on length, not a harmful delivery. The kind you block with a smile in a Test match. Morris has a mission though, and a steep target. Makes room and tries to go over extra cover. Misses it completely. That's his 100th IPL wicket
short of a length and turning away outside off. Nudges to deep midwicket off the back foot
length on middle stump, stays still and taps it to deep midwicket
