Lahore Qalandars posted a competitive 160 on the board and the game remained neck and neck until Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf lost their lines in the 13th and 14th overs - there was a dearth of yorkers as well - , which completely shifted the momentum. Karachi got off to a sensational start as both openers tore into the bowlers with an aggressive onslaught. Although the momentum dipped during the middle overs, they were never entirely out of the contest. Irfan Khan, finding his rhythm after a long spell, played a brilliant 48-run knock that steered his team to the doorstep of victory

Mitchell to Irfan Khan, SIX runs

Gets down low, flexes his muscles and launches it over deep extra cover for a six. Don't think Mitchell was feeling okay after the blow on his arm, was a full-toss outside off, he kept his calm and dispatches it over the rope. We got another nail-biter, superb come from behind victory from Karachi

usman: "I am a KK fan but you know whats worrying me? These are the two best white ball fast bowlers of Pakistan and they haven't bowled even one yorker !!!!!"

1
Mitchell to Hasan Ali, 1 run

That is respect worthy commitment from Daryl Mitchell, landed very awkwardly while running forward to his left and trying his best to prevent runs, landed on a shortish length and hung outside off, Hasan belted it out of the screws and he was trying for a caught and bowl and landed hard on the turf, got a lot of bruising and is taking his time to recover. Hurt his left arm and is getting some medical attention. He is getting ready to go back to his run up, got a lot of bandage on his arm, somehow he has to bowl four more deliveries if the game goes that far

Mudassar : "Mitchell should have given more overs."

Mitchell to M Nabi, OUT

Asking too much from Mitchell, eh? Well he delivers the goods, over the wicket, speared full and wide, he chases it and edges it straight to the man at short third. Another twist in the tale, most importantly it's a dot. Nabi punches the air in frustration but he has played a gem of an innings

1
Haris Rauf to M Nabi, 1 run

Ah, that's too little, too late, searing yorker into his toes, tries to dig it out and can't do much about, shields his stumps though, last two overs have turned the tide

4
Haris Rauf to M Nabi, FOUR runs

Oh, the senior pacers have led their team down in the crunch moments, again too straight on the pads, he whips it away in the gap behind square leg, wow, what a knock

6
Haris Rauf to M Nabi, SIX runs

Oh gosh, lands it short on middle, holds its line, Nabi knew the plan, picked it early, went leg-side, swiveled and lifted it over his shoulder, sending it over deep square for a six, blazed!

13.3
2
Haris Rauf to M Nabi, 2 runs

Fraction short and offered room, steps leg-side and takes the aerial route at deep cover, ball was destined to reach the fence but a superbly timed intervention from Asif Ali saves a couple, every run counts

13.2
1
Haris Rauf to Irfan Khan, 1 run

Makes room and prods it down to mid-off for a run, pace-off quiets him down

Haris Rauf to Irfan Khan, SIX runs

Steps leg-side and Hartis follows him with an in-slanter, he wins the battle and uncoils a glorious pull over deep square and it goes all the way, Irfan, you beauty, this is some serious striking under pressure

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Irfan Khan, SIX runs

Shorter in length and offers room, this is not good bowling, he stays still deep in the crease, got ice in his veins, sliced up and over deep backward point for a six, he is turning the game on its head, magnificent batting!!

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Irfan Khan, SIX runs

Lahore's captain starts off with an attempted yorker from around the wicket, missed the blockhole and he makes room to pound it over Shaheen's head for a six, lands just over sightscreen, lovely leg side shimmy to be able to free his arms, need more of these to take the game deep

Haris Rauf to Khushdil, OUT

Drags his length back, gives some room. he had to go big, there's no time, sliced in the air to the fielder behind square on off; Naeem takes a wonderful catch, eyes locked on the ball tracked it from the bat, in the air and then into his hands behind deep cover-point
