Laura Spragg

Left-arm medium-pace bowler. Laura made her England debut against India this summer (2002) and took a wicket as well as scoring 21 in a 9th wicket partnership of 45. Took 2-31 in the ODI Final against New Zealand at Chester-le-Street, Durham.

Laura has represented England at U19 and U17 level, playing in two European Cup tournaments. At last year's Cup she returned her best bowling figures of 3-8. Part of the Championship winning Yorkshire team this year, she also plays for Leeds/Bradford UCCE and is studying for a BA (Hons) in Physical Education. Laura began playing cricket aged 11 with Keighley U13 boy's team and first played women's cricket with Yorkshire Under 15's aged 12.
