Mahela Jayawardene on the cost of diamonds in Kimberley
South Africa and Sri Lanka have found each other close to unbeatable in away Tests. South Africa have managed the feat twice - in the first series between the two sides in 1993, and again in 2000 when they won a thriller in Kandy by seven runs. Otherwise, it has been a case of Sri Lankan batsmen running amok while batting at home - the 624-run stand between Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara coming on one such occasion - and running for cover while taking guard on South Africa's fast pitches. Both teams will have points to prove when they face each other this year, for the first time since 2002 in South Africa.
