Profile

A big-hitting batsman and a fast bowler, Alan Kruger has been a long-time regular for Griqualand West, first representing them in 2000. He has struggled to find a place in the Eagles' starting XI, playing only a handful of matches. Most of his heroics have come in the provincial tournaments: he highlighted his batting ability with a blistering 158 after a top-order collapse in 2004-05. One of his best tournaments was the 2005-06 provincial three-day challenge, where he was among the leading wicket-takers besides blasting 488 runs.
