Profile

With a reputation as a hard-hitting batsman, Richard Levi was selected for the inaugural Champions League Twenty20 in India in 2009. Levi's selection owed plenty to a successful 2008 season, an excellent Twenty20 strike-rate, and a reputation as a cool customer. A student of the Cape' Ivy League schools, Levi also represented South Africa in the Under-19 World Cup in 2006. Marked out as one to watch out, the young Cape Cobras batsman has a chance to impress in front of a larger audience in India. The player he says he would pay to watch, Brian Lara, did that many a time in the subcontinent.
