Craig Thyssen doesn't do the spectacular often, but he remains an integral part of the Warriors' recent success in the shorter formats. Thyssen, a broad-shouldered middle-order denizen, is a scrapper, a
smasher and a dasher rather than a pure talent. To players of his ilk falls the task of pulling teams through when the bigger names are busying themselves with bigger things, like international cricket. It's a role that goes unnoticed until it isn't performed well enough, and it is to Thyssen's credit that he doesn't often stick out precisely because he gets the job done.
