2.4 to NT Paranavitana, that is gone though, Harris has struck, Para getting forward to drive a pitched up delivery around middle and off, it was going across him and he gets a feather on it through to Haddin, Para is normally pretty cautious outside that off stump, this was an uncharacteristically loose shot. 2/1 23.2 to TT Samaraweera, Harris has struck again, superb delivery, coming in sharply from a length outside off, Thilan pushing outside the line, and getting an inside edge through to Haddin, big break for Australia, this partnership had started to grow. 57/4 57.2 to S Prasanna, Harris has gone through Prasanna's defences, huge gap between bat and pad, Harris gets it to tail in late off a fuller length, Prasanna pushes outside the line and the ball crashes through the gate in to off and middle, just flicked the pad on its way, too good for No 9. 150/8
12 | 5 | 24 | 2 | 2.00 | 60 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
5.4 to TM Dilshan, Dilshan is gone, he thought this one would miss off as well as it curled in sharply, he was wrong this time, just as he shouldered arms, it curved in devilishly to strike top of off, Copeland roars, he has pegged away outside that off stump persistently, and ultimately, found a way through. 10/2 7.3 to DPMD Jayawardene, Sri Lanka slip further, Mahela Jayawardene departs to an insane take from Michael Hussey, it was pitched up, lured Mahela in to the drive, wonder if he would have done the same against Harris, did not get fully to the pitch, and ended up getting a thick edge that was headed for the third man boundary, but Hussey decided to stick his left hand in the path with a leap to his left, the ball stuck, the Australians mobbed him, and Mahela walked of. 14/3

60.6 to AD Mathews, did that carry? Australia are appealing for caught behind, Angelo went after a very wide offcutter from Mitch, got the edge that was dying on Haddin as he went forward and low to his right, seems to have just lodged in to his right glove, third umpire sends Angelo back. 166/9 64.1 to UWMBCA Welegedara, outside edge and caught at third slip, Welegedara backed away a bit and pushed a pacy back of a length ball with an angled bat and it flew straight to Copeland. 174/10
10 | 2 | 41 | 2 | 4.10 | 47 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
26.6 to HAPW Jayawardene, dear me, what has he done, he has gifted his wicket away, down on the knee for another slog sweep, but he does not get hold of it and deep square leg settles under it, Lyon has earned his wicket though, after being smacked for a six and a four he has bowled it just a shade wider and on a length outside off, PJ had to reach out for it and got the top edge. 76/5 52.5 to S Randiv, sharp caught-and-bowled from Lyon, Randiv departs now, he looked to go hard after him again, this one was bowled fuller and turned in and he ended up smashing it to Lyon's right, Lyon got behind it and safely pouched it. 133/7
1 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0.00 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
49.3 to KC Sangakkara, Sanga has given it away, he has pushed Hussey straight to short extra cover, gentle full ball floated up on off, Sanga lured in to a fatal push, not defensive enough and not aggressive enough, and he trudges off a disappointed man, bearing the look of one who knows he has got it wrong in gifting Hussey only his third wicket in 61 Tests. 128/6 |

43.4 to MJ Clarke, he's got Clarke, big wicket, reaching out to a wide one outside off stump and it goes straight to second slip, Mahela does not drop 'em, he takes it to his right with both hands, Clarke was lured by the fullish and wide one floated up for the drive, it moved away from him a bit in the air too, he fell for the trap, lunged after it, and was done in. 116/3
23 | 2 | 102 | 2 | 4.43 | 99 | 16 | 0 | 0 | 7 | |
19.2 to SR Watson, bowled 'em, just like Copeland went through Dilshan, Watson shouldering arms and flagging the ball through, it pitched much closer to off on a length and came in to uproot off stump, too close to be left really. 60/1 127.2 to SE Marsh, the end of Marsh! out of nowhere a wicket for Sri Lanka, a short ball from Lakmal, Marsh looks to pull, gets it low on his bat and off the outside edge, flies towards Sangakkara at midwicket, Marsh's superb innings ends at 141, take a bow Shaun. 391/5

36.5 to PJ Hughes, Randiv has deserved this wicket, sharp bat-pad chance, and a nice take by short leg lunging forward with both hands, he pressed forward to one that was angled in fullish on middle and leg, it gripped and bounced a touch to take the inside edge on to pad and popped in front of short leg. 95/2 128.1 to BJ Haddin, and the wickets are tumbling, Sangakkara gets his third catch of the day, Haddin dances down to a length ball and looks to power it towards long-on, he can't get the height, simple catch for Sanga at mid-on, Haddin's troubles with the bat contines. 392/6 128.2 to MG Johnson, Randiv on a hat-trick, what is it with batsmen shouldering arms in this Test to be bowled, Johnson thinks this is a regulation off spinner from Randiv, and raises his bat after seeing it pitch just outside off, it slides on and hits the top of middle and off. 392/7

120.2 to MEK Hussey, at long last a wicket, Hussey perishes, the partnership ends at 258, anothe rflighted delivery, turning away, Hussey a bit early into the shot, Sangakkara moves in from sweeper cover to pouch that, end of a fine innings from Hussey. 374/4 |

26.5 to TM Dilshan, Harris strikes! Dilshan has lost patience! Not the smartest of shots when saving a Test. Short of a length, well wide of off, Dilshan drives at this, a slash really, and the thick edge is taken smartly by Watson. It is throat high, and is travelling at some pace, but Watson at first slip reacts quickly. 81/1 82.1 to KC Sangakkara, that is a huge wicket, Harris has Sanga edging to second slip! pitching on leg on a length and biting at Sanga as it moved away a bit, Sanga pushes at it with a bit of a closed bat from the crease and it flies at a nice height to Clarke at second slip, Harris bursts the match wide open again. 229/3 102.5 to HAPW Jayawardene, Harris has struck yet again, there is no getting away from him, two came in with the angle, the third moved away a tad from a length after being bent in, PJ had to push at it just outside off, and the outside edge was snapped up by Haddin. 301/5
27 | 10 | 63 | 1 | 2.33 | 136 | 9 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
92.5 to DPMD Jayawardene, Michael Clarke has redeemed himself with a one-handed blinder diving to his left from second slip, or has he? Clarke tells Mahela he has caught it, Mahela wants the third umpire to confirm that, Clarke says go ahead, Mahela had just opened the face to one that kicked outside off from a length, it was not going to carry to first slip, but Clarke appeared out of nowhere and took it an inch off the ground, getting his finger between the grass and the ball, Mahela trudges off, he is still having some words with the Australians. 270/4

20 | 9 | 43 | 1 | 2.15 | 100 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
109.6 to TT Samaraweera, that is the big wicket, Thilan is gone, Watson pumps his fists, this is reward for some superb reverse swing, all that movement was bothering him, saw it pitched short of a length, and went for the cut, it nipped in late, close to the body and he got a thick edge to Haddin. 307/6
15 | 1 | 52 | 0 | 3.46 | 56 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
4 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 0.50 | 22 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
46.5 to NT Paranavitana, Haddin has gone up immediately, but Hussey doesn't even appeal! Given not-out, but Australia are reviewing this. Length ball, Para pokes at it, extra bounce there, Haddin takes this on the second attempt. No sound on the way through, although it has gone pretty close to the shoulder of the bat. Not a clear deviation although Hussey has taken this almost chest-high, and there is a slight noise on fifth or sixth viewing. That's evidence enough for Hill and the TV umpire to change the decision. I would love to have overheard their conversation. Anyway, golden arm, thy name is Michael Hussey. Funny part is, Hussey didn't even appeal. Para didn't seem happy. He didn't feel an edge if he did edge it. 128/2
