Scorecard

An unbeaten hundred by Morne van Wyk had put South Africa A in a strong position at 151 for 2 against Sri Lanka A before rain forced the match to be called off at the Nondescripts Cricket Club in Colombo.

van Wyk was aggressive from the start, dominating a 45-run opening stand with Stiaan van Zyl. Farveez Maharoof struck with two wickets in two overs, sending back van Zyl and Colin Ingram. van Wyk then combined in an unbroken 89-run stand with Dean Elgar before rain intervened after 27 overs had been bowled. van Wyk was in a belligerent mood, reaching his century in only 78 balls with 13 fours and two sixes. Elgar remained unbeaten on 33 off 58 with two fours.

Maharoof was the best Sri Lankan bowler taking 2 for 16 off six overs.

South Africa A currently lead the table in the triangular series with one win and a no result, ahead of Pakistan A with a win and a loss and Sri Lanka A who are yet to win a game.
