India Under-19s' seamers shared seven wickets between them as they bowled their side to a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka Under-19s in the final of the Tri-Nation Under-19s tournament. Taking the new ball after Sri Lanka chose to bat, Avesh Khan and the left-armer Khaleel Ahmed struck early, decisive blows to leave the hosts 23 for 4 within the tenth over of the innings. Sri Lanka never really recovered from there, with wicketkeeper Vishad Randika's 75-ball 58 (7x4) the only substantial innings in a total of 158. They were bowled out with 16 balls remaining. Khaleel finished with three wickets while Avesh, Shubham Mavi and the left-arm spinner Mayank Dagar bagged two each.
India's chase was anchored by the opener Washington Sundar, who made his third half-century of the tournament. Sundar made 56 off 77 balls (6x4) and added 89 for the first wicket with Rishabh Pant (35). Left-arm spinner Damitha Silva caused a mild wobble, picking up three wickets as India slipped from 111 for 1 to 155 for 5, but it was never going to cause undue concern with the target only 159. India eventually got home in the 34th over of their innings.
