Pollock to Gambhir, OUT, Gone! India lose their first one. It's Gambhir who falls. He comes down the pitch and tries to heave the ball over the on side. He can't quite get hold of it and the ball goes up in the air. This time the fielder calls it - it's Graeme Smith - and settles under a catch at mid-off after running a few yards.

Pollock to Karthik, OUT, Another! Dinesh Karthik falls! That was a rather uncontrolled shot first up. Pollock pitches one up on the pads and Karthik flicks lazily. The ball loops up in the air and straight into Albie Morkel's hands at square-leg. Karthik didn't even try to hit that one especially hard. Now that's put India in a spot of bother after a reasonably good start on a tricky pitch.

KD Karthik c JA Morkel b Pollock 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

India 33/2   V Sehwag 11* (10b 1x4)   SM Pollock 3-0-14-2

Ntini to Sehwag, OUT, On fire! It's Sehwag gone now and India are in deep, deep trouble here. That was a soft dismissal after an extremely promising start from Sehwag. That was short of a length and outside the off, Sehwag plays away from his body without much conviction, trying to steer the ball through the off side and only manages an edge. Mark Boucher pouches the catch.

V Sehwag c †Boucher b Ntini 11 (23m 11b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

M Morkel to Uthappa, OUT, caught! Uthappa takes a step down the pitch and tries to loft Morkel down the ground, he doesn't get the necessary elevation and hits it straight to Smith at mid-off, India are in massive amounts of trouble

RV Uthappa c Smith b M Morkel 15 (22m 16b 1x4 1x6) SR: 93.75

India 61/4   RG Sharma 13* (16b 2x4)   M Morkel 1.3-0-6-1

van der Wath to Dhoni, 1 run, OUT, it's all happening! Dhoni flashed hard outside the off stump and edged it to Boucher who went for it with one hand, the ball popped out and he fumbled the second attempt as well, the batsmen had run the single and tried to steal the second while Boucher rued the dropped chance, Philander realised what was happening and threw the stumps down at the batsman's end with Dhoni an inch short

MS Dhoni run out 45 (39m 33b 4x4 1x6) SR: 136.36

India 146/5   RG Sharma 44* (39b 7x4 1x6)   JJ van der Wath 3.4-0-37-0
