West Indies never quite enjoyed the sort of dominance against Pakistan that they were accustomed to over most of the cricketing world in the 1980s. Imran Khan was at the forefront of some memorable battles between the two sides in that period, and helped Pakistan famously draw three series at a time when everybody else was being bounced out. Since then, West Indies have struggled to match up to Pakistan in subcontinental conditions, including a one-sided series in Sharjah at the turn of the millennium. But they have been more competitive in their own backyard, where they have pulled off nine of their 14 wins. Pakistan lead the head-to-head with 15 victories in the 44 clashes between the two teams. Inzamam-ul-Haq led Pakistan to an easy win at home in the most recent bilateral series, but it came after a drawn rubber in the Caribbean in 2005.
