Michael Thomas Clingly, aged 74, of a heart attack in Adelaide on August 16. A talented and popular allround sportsman who represented South Australia at both football and cricket, Mick Clingly was a left-arm medium-pacer and finger-spinner renowned for bowling long spells. In five games with SA in the late 1950s, he took nine wickets including a best of 3 for 15 against Queensland at Adelaide in 1959-60.
