John Loader commenced his cricket in Juniors with North Star at Under 9 before joining Sandgate-Redcliffe, though most of his cricket at junior level was for school teams, in 2000-01 playing only school cricket. In the season of 2001-02 he began playing grade cricket and soon found his way into the first grade team for the occasional match. He was called to replace the injured GJ Sullivan in the Queensland Under 19 team at the national championships. He played QCA grade for Sandgate-Redcliffe (First grade 2001-02 to date). Schools: St Kevins Convent School, Geebung; Nudgee College. In 2002 he began a course in engineering at University of Queensland. (Warwick Torrens, December 2002)
