103.6 to H Masakadza, Masakadza is gone, finally Bangladesh have broken through, the full length it is, the full length that makes Masakadza drive away from the body for once, and it moves away late to produce the edge that flies to wide slip, who moves to his left to snap the sharp take, first Test wicket for Robiul, he is relieved. 304/3 111.2 to BRM Taylor, Zimbabwe are falling apart here, now Taylor departs, it is the cut that has consumed him, shortish and wide, moving away from him, he reaches out to have a go at it, and gets an edge that a tumbling Rahim does very well to take, Bangladesh are delighted, not much has been going their way till now. 317/5
29 | 3 | 84 | 3 | 2.89 | 131 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
29.3 to TMK Mawoyo, well, well, that is the unlikeliest of wicket-taking deliveries, but it still gets Bangladesh the breakthrough, Mawoyo has thrown away a debut 50, it was short, wide, nothing delivery actually, he had to reach out a long way to get to it, and cut it straight to sweeper cover who accepted it happily. 102/1 48.2 to V Sibanda, oh then, guess what, another short and wide ball that gets one more breakthrough, Sibanda has thrown away a maiden Test hundred, chasing a wide one from the crease with an attempted cut and getting an edge through to Rahim. 162/2 120.2 to RW Price, Rubel has struck, caught on the crease to the one coming in off a length with the angle, hit high on the front pad, Bangladesh appeal right away, umpire Dharmasena takes some time before raising the finger, Price is shaking his head as he walks off. 344/7
26 | 5 | 62 | 3 | 2.38 | 122 | 4 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
115.3 to E Chigumbura, the pressure is getting to Zimbabwe, Elton tries to hit his way out of trouble, goes down forcefully on a knee for the sweep from around leg stump, but the top edge loops tamely to deep backward square leg, who seems to have it covered, but it pops out of his hands, he dives forward and scrambles to hold on to the ball eventually as he falls to the ground. 326/6 125.1 to T Taibu, Shakib takes the big one, turn and bounce outside off, the length was full enough to draw Taibu forward and Shakib got enough bite out of the surface to make him edge with an open face to slip who gobbled it up. 352/8 129.6 to BV Vitori, this swing will find the man in the deep, Vitori comes down the track and hits with the turn but straight to deep midwicket. 368/9

4.1 to Imrul Kayes, Vitori is being mobbed by his team-mates, he has struck early on debut, lovely delivery, banged in short of a length, holding its line close to off, Kayes has to play at it, the ball takes the high part of the bat and goes at a nice height to first slip who is a touch wide as well. 13/1 10.3 to Tamim Iqbal, gone! superb catch at second slip, it is the captain who does it for Zimbabwe, Vitori gets reward for some lovely bowling, angles it in on a length around middle and off and gets it to leave Tamim, who gets forward to have a push at it, and ends up edging it between first and second slip from where Taylor dives low to snap up the chance. 36/2 54.4 to Mahmudullah, Vitori gets his third, oh well, what a delivery to get a wicket, short, half-tracker really, sitting up tamely, he should have smashed it through midwicket, but pulled it a touch off-balance straight to the man in front of square leg, Zimbabwe celebrate. 136/4 90.4 to Mushfiqur Rahim, well, the short ball has brought them a wicket, half-tracker, but bouncing big on Rahim, he was not in position to play the pull, and with men in the deep square on the leg side, it wasn't a great choice to play a half-hearted shot that tamely swirled to deepish square leg. 266/8
16 | 1 | 67 | 1 | 4.18 | 68 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 4 | |
93.6 to Shafiul Islam, got 'em, Jarvis gets his first Test wicket, off a good delivery too, angled in, pitched up, holding its line and shatters the off stump before Shafiul can defend it with a forward push. 275/9
23 | 5 | 72 | 2 | 3.13 | 96 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
83.3 to Shakib Al Hasan, pitched up close to off, and he has the reward right away, not very full for the drive, but not short as well, Shakib was caught half-forward and tried to carve it away even as the angle was taking it past him, and edged it through to Taibu, Mpofu and Price do a little jig as they celebrate, they know how big a wicket this is. 246/6 87.6 to Abdur Razzak, Mpofu has got his man, he is overjoyed, it was the full delivery from wide of the crease, Razzak was caught on the crease by those short ones and tried to push the full toss away belatedly as it homed in for the pads, but could not, and that is an easy decision for the umpire, he was struck low around middle and that was gone. 258/7
19 | 4 | 47 | 1 | 2.47 | 91 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
66.1 to Mohammad Ashraful, Ashraful has thrown away a superb patient innings, nothing shot, shortish delivery giving him some width outside off stump, he tried to run it past the well-manned slip cordon with a dab and only got a feather and Taibu happily accepted it, huge wicket for Zimbabwe, Ashraful was looking like going on and on, and right away he knew he had played a bad shot and put hand on his helmet as he walked off. 190/5
14.2 | 4 | 34 | 2 | 2.37 | 72 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
41.3 to Shahriar Nafees, Price has struck, and what an unfortunate dismissal for Nafees, well, he had survived several close moments earlier, he went for the sweep this time, but the ball popped up off the bat on to the body, and remained in the air for a while before disturbing the off bail, Taibu was waiting for that and leaped for joy as soon as he saw that. 102/3 96.2 to Robiul Islam, that is gone, padding up to one flighted and coming in full from wide of the crease, just outside the line of off, umpire Dharmasena has no hesitation in ruling him out, that is the end of the Bangladesh innings. 287/10 |
