Suresh’s Question on bowling spin at the right speed

I am an off spin bowler. My problem is that when I am trying to put spin on the ball the pace goes down drastically and batsmen easily negotiate the spin by going down the track. As a result I am quite reluctant to bowl off spin and mainly concentrate on bowling economically by firing it on the pads. How do I work on bowling spin at the right speed?

Murali krishna’s Question on negative line of attack

I see most of the offspiners these days start "round the wicket" in ODIs. I think this is a negative line of attack where the runs are being restricted but the old skills of loop, flight, turn and bounce where the ball would turn is no more in play. What is your take on this?

Mohan's question on the selection process in India

In the recent South Africa ODIs, Quinton de Kock hit three faultless, brilliant centuries bringing out the weakness of the Indian bowling. Even then, de Kock did not find a berth in the Test Team. He himself has said that he has to train for Test matches by playing many four-day matches. That's the right way, I feel. In India, on the other hand, we have seen players like Suresh Raina get chances in Test cricket based on their limited-overs performances. What's your take on this? What can be done to rectify this selection process mistakes?

Tanuj's question on how to be play on off stump balls

I look to leave balls outside off stump for the first 10-12 balls until I get my eyes in. I often edge balls to the keeper when playing a defensive shot to block the ball thinking that it might hit the off stump. I guess this is happening because I am not confident about where my off stump is. How do I learn the technique of knowing exactly where my off stump is?

Raghavendra's question on playing short-pitched deliveries

I'm a strong front foot player, but like any other Indian batsman I too have issues playing short-pitched deliveries. I can somehow quickly get in position to hook and pull the ball but I struggle to punch it through covers and point. I tried a lot to tackle but I ended up nicking the ball to slips or wicket keeper, I've now started to leave the ball than going for it. Any advice on how I can get better?
