Unchanged West Indies bat first in second T20I against Bangladesh

West Indies captain Shai Hope decided to bat first once again after winning the toss against Bangladesh in the second T20I in Chattogram.

He said the team wanted to score at least 20 runs more than the 165 they made in the first game on Monday, which West Indies won by 16 runs. "We are going to do the same again, we will bat," Hope said. "I think runs on the board is a good thing. The pitch looks a little dry than the first one."

Hope's counterpart Litton Das, on the other hand, said he expected his batters to step up after the defeat. They made one change, bringing back Jaker Ali in place of Nurul Hasan.

"Last couple of series, the bowlers have done their job. As batsmen we need to come up." Litton said. "The wicket looks pretty good and in the second half there will be dew, anything 180 will be a good score. When you are chasing a big total against a good team, we need to come up with a good plan. The top four batters have to bat 15 overs and then the rest of the battle becomes easier."
