How many world-class bowlers do you have?

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh's tetchy on-field relationship (remember the snake dance-off?) appears to have spilled over off the field now. First, Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka claimed Bangladesh had only two world-class bowlers (Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan) compared to Afghanistan, who beat Sri Lanka in the opening game of the Asia Cup. In response, Bangladesh team director Khaled Mahmud saying Sri Lanka had no world-class bowlers at all. Former SL captain Mahela Jayawardene also joined the fray. This round goes to Sri Lanka since they beat Bangladesh to progress ahead in the tournament.

Hardik Pandya four years ago and today

Hardik Pandya took 3 for 25 and hit an unbeaten 17-ball 33 in India's win over Pakistan at the Asia Cup on Sunday. Things had looked very different for him four years ago in a match against the same opposition at the same venue in the same tournament when he had to be stretchered off the field because of an acute lower back injury.
