Amiss Pessimistic About Lara

Dennis Amiss, Warwickshire`s chief executive, is pessimistic about the possible return to Edgbaston of Brian Lara as their overseas player in 1998.

"Brian`s international commitments in the next 18 months are horrific and I would think looking at them that he might not want to come back to play county cricket ever again," said Amiss.

Warwickshire are likely to ask Lara for a definite decision early in the New Year.
