Cronje fit for Kenya (25 Sep 1996)

SA Captain Hansie Cronje was declared fit to play in the 4 nations ODI tournament commencing this Saturday in Nairobi, Kenya. Cronje has been nursing injured tendons in his left hand, but it was announced during the SA squad's final warm up game today that he will definitely lead the national team agains Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Kenya.

At the same match - against an invitation XI in Voortrkker Hoogte near Pretoria - South Africa's 5 cricketers of the year were named.

For the third year running SA opener Gary Kirsten is amongst the players honored. The other 4 are Darryll Cullinan, Brian McMillan, Alan Donald and Shaun Pollock
