Cricket Board to hold EGM today
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has given notice to hold an
Extraordinary General Meeting at the Cricket Board headquarters
today at 4 p.m.
The agenda is to approve the applications for membership for
controlling, affiliated and associate clubs.
However, the Cricket Board's constitution, under Section 5 (c)
states: "Application for membership must be made in writing to
the Hony. Secretary, before 1st May of each year and shall be
considered only at the Annual General Meeting...."
How such membership can be granted at an EGM and whether it is
valid is the talking point in cricket circles.
