If you are already feeling withdrawal symptoms at the end of the 2019 Indian Premier League, then never fear, you can already get a long-range punt into the system for the 2020 event.
Mumbai Indians sealed a thrilling final over Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, with Lasith Malinga rolling back the years to deliver a peerless death over and a one-run win.
And sure enough, they are 4/1 favourites for next year's event, alongside Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have found a pair of bankers at the top of the order in David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, and now just need to shore up their middle order for the rare occasions when those two fail.
Chennai, the most consistent qualifiers in the tournament's history, are next on the list at 5/1 - though who knows what will become of MS Dhoni at the end of this year's World Cup, which may yet affect his team's dynamic.
Thereafter, a trio of 7/1s prop up the middle order - Delhi Capitals, who perhaps exceeded expectations this year; RCB, who most certainly did not, and Kolkata Knight Riders, who had in Andre Russell the most explosive performer in this year's tournament, but whose results were disappointing.
Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals bring up the rear at 9/1. Neither was able to make a consistent case this year, but 12 months down the line, who knows how the land will lie.
