Michael Vaughan: "This is the best match of my career. Now we have to build on this performance starting at Headingley on Thursday. For James [Kirtley] to bowl like he did on debut was fantastic, but the game was set up for us by Nasser and Butch's hundreds. I thought we bowled superbly last night. We exploited the conditions really well and we did it again today."
Graeme Smith: "A lot has been said about the pitch and I don't need to say anything more. The fact is that England batted well on the first day and that's where they won the game. Shaun Pollock (who will miss the fourth Test) is a world class cricketer but there are a lot of guys who are ready to step up to the plate and take their chance."
Man of the match James Kirtley, who took 6 for 34 in the second innings: "I've been dreaming about this, and it's nice to do it at Trent Bridge where the support's so strong. The team's performing brilliantly so hopefully we'll have a repeat win at Headingley. The instructions this morning were very simple - to keep hitting the right areas and luckily the wickets came for me."
Nasser Hussain: "Michael [Vaughan] is already a better captain than he was two or three weeks ago. The sooner England move on and win away from the Nasser Hussain era the better it will be. Even though I'm no longer captain I felt just the same as ever -- I woke up at five this morning feeling nervous and wishing we could win."
