It was nearly a carbon-copy of the first day at The Oval, as Bangladesh A matched Surrey's total of 336 to the run. Declaring yesterday, with fourteen overs to go, Surrey's inexperienced bowlers leaked runs, as Bangladesh A took the fight to Surrey with some aggressive strokeplay.

South African born Jade Dernbach, playing in only his third first-class game, proved his inexperience by conceding 68 runs from twelve overs. He did pick up the last two wickets but, despite it being a decent pitch on which to bat, his performance was disappointing.

Ian Salisbury, who yesterday had belted an undefeated half century, didn't bowl at all in Bangladesh's innings, who rattled along at nearly four an over. Tushar Imran, who has represented Bangladesh three times in Tests, was the pick of their batsmen with an excellent knock of 70 at a run-a-ball. There were also half-centuries for the captain, Shahriar Nafees and Nazimuddin.

Bangladesh's good day continued in the field, removing Scott Newman, Richard Clinton and 20-year-old Neil Saker before stumps were called. At 83 for three, in what is now a one innings match, Surrey will need to score quickly and aggressively tomorrow morning if they are to force a victory.
