India v Sri Lanka 2006-07

Wisden's review of Sri Lanka and India, 3rd ODI, 2006-07

15-Apr-2008
At Margao, February 14, 2007. India won by five wickets. Toss: Sri Lanka.
India levelled the series, a comfortable victory stemming from Zaheer Khan's incisive opening spell, which brought him three wickets in his first three overs, including the vital scalps of Jayasuriya and Sangakkara. He returned at the end to claim five wickets in an innings for the first time in one-day internationals. Jayawardene and Atapattu repaired the damage somewhat, then Arnold's unbeaten 66 made the total a competitive one. But Ganguly batted well again, before Dravid and an unusually restrained Dhoni, whose first boundary came from his 50th ball, steadied India after a mid-innings wobble.
Man of the Match: Zaheer Khan.
