R Ashwin spliced through the UAE middle-order, bowling them out for 102, the lowest score for which a team has folded against India in the World Cup

Ashwin got into the act in his second ball, dismissing Krishna Chandran with one that hung for a bit in the air, dipping and catching him on the glove before popping up to leg slip.

His next scalp featured more swing then seam, his arm ball eliciting Swapnil Patil's edge to first slip, where Shikhar Dhawan took a good catch. Ashwin only had to wait until his next over for another wicket when Khurram Khan top-edged a sweep for Suresh Raina, the fielder at first slip, to run to his left, and complete the take.

Ashwin had never claimed a four-for in ODIs in the past, and he finally reached the feat in the seventh over he delivered. Mohammad Naveed gave himself too much room, but failed to factor in the pace of the arm ball, as it crashed into the stumps.

India chased the target down in less than 19 overs and Ashwin was adjudged the Man of the Match.
