Sri Lanka win by an innings and 193 runs. They sweep the series 3-0 and have won each match by an innings. Bangladesh have been soundly thrashed. Murali took the last wicket of the series to reach 700 Test wickets. It's been picture perfect for Sri Lanka.
This is only the third time that a team has won all matches in a three-Test series by an innings. The earlier instances are when England beat West Indies in 1928 and India defeated Sri Lanka in 1994. Such a whitewash has never occured in a five-Test series.
Muralitharan is the Man of the Match for his 12 wickets in the Test. He says he's a little surprised that he was able to get to 700 Test wickets. Such modesty! He is also the Man of the Series for taking 26 wickets in three Tests. Kumar Sangakkara scored 428 runs in three innings and doesn't win anything. But well played nonetheless.
That's it from us at Cricinfo for today. Thank you for following the Test series with us. The one-dayers begin on July 20, hopefully that series will be a little more competitive. This is George Binoy signing off.
