All right that's it from this game. We are working frenetically to get the furniture ready for the next match. See you on the flip side

Quotes from presentation

"140 was where we needed to be," says Marcus North. "Looking at how it panned out, 140 looks like a good score. We had chances to get there, but we lost our way, losing Shaun and Simon in the middle. Still a lot of pride to play for and get our first win up."

"We haven't played for a week," says Mahela Jayawardene, "so good to get out and play a good game. We made a few mistakes, which nearly cost us the game. We didn't handle a few situations well. We will have a chat, but our bowlers and fielders did really well. Ajit batted really well, the experience showed. Credit to them, they fought really hard."

"It's a good thing following them because Irfan, Morke and Umesh have been bowling really well," says MoM Ajit Agarkar, who is yet to remove his pads. "Some days it works for you in T20, some days it doesn't. As long as your ideas are right, you can hope for the best. Some times it is nice to get over the line the hard way. Hopefully we will win a few easy ones later."

Scorchers tried hard to stay alive with the ball, but their batsmen didn't give them enough to defend. They kept taking wickets, but all it took to tip scales was two good shots from Agarkar in the end. Scorchers will be heart-broken, but they are out of the running for the semi-final.

"Sorry Tim, Today is the day of Bombay Ducks with Beer.Cheers" Ronald, as I always keep saying, it ain't over until Ajit has had his say. And that applies either way. However, I am surprised the BCCI hasn't pulled Ajit out yet, fearing workload before the upcoming Test series

"Shane Watson is the Ajit Agarkar of Sydney Sixers." Vignesh, tributes to the only Mumbai centurion at Lord's since the glory days of Dilip Vengsarkar are flowing thick and fast

Rimmington to Negi, FOUR runs

there are no dots happening here. Length ball, on the pads, and he has somehow pushed it wide of mid-on. Uppishly hit, but wide of the man. Delhi nearly made a meal of this chase, but have managed to win it with three balls to spare. They have Agarkar to thank

Can Rimmington now squeeze out two dots from Negi?

1
Rimmington to Agarkar, 1 run

slower ball, Agarkar bunts it into the leg side and takes a single. Showing faith in Negi

Scorchers need a wicket right now. Or at least have Negi on strike

Rimmington to Agarkar, FOUR runs

Agarkar did it with the ball. He is doing it with the bat. Low full toss from Rimmington. Yorker gone wrong, and he drives it superbly past the diving extra cover

Finally, a replay of the Ojha dismissal some five minutes later. And I can tell you, it was a no-ball, and should have been followed by a free hit. His back foot touched the side line. Marais Erasmus is the third umpire

driven down the ground, Agarkar initiates the second, and a wild throw allows them that. Agarkar has not only squeezed the extra run, he has kept strike too

Mennie to Negi, no run

short of a length, swings and misses, beaten outside off

Mennie to Agarkar, 1 bye

slower ball, short, beats Agarkar, but bounces in front of the keeper. That allows them the bye

18.3

Mennie to Agarkar, FOUR runs

You don't count sides out until Agarkar has batted. Or bowled. Lovely shot. Makes room to drive this inside0out and over mid-off. Desperately needed boundary

18.2

Mennie to Negi, 1 run

cut away to third man. Just the single

18.1

Agarkar breaks the maiden with an unconvincing slash at a short ball for a single to mid-off

Coulter-Nile to Agarkar, no run

length ball, wide of off, and Ajit swings and misses

Ajit Agarkar is the new man in. One slip in

Coulter-Nile to Ojha, OUT

oh you can't not give this one. Justice delivered for Scorchers. CN is bowling a dream over. Digs this in short of a length, gets it to bounce big, too good for Ojha, who gets a thick edge through to the keeper. Well well well, the batsman is not walking off. That's because they are checking replays to make sure it's not a no-ball. Umpires think he is fine, the Delhi dugout think his back foot has cut the side crease. They are still remonstrating, and the fourth umpire is explaining the decision to them. We haven't seen the replays yet. Advertisers need to be kept happy, you know. Finally, a replay some five minutes later. And I can tell you, it was a no-ball, and should have been followed by a free hit. His back foot touched the side line. Marais Erasmus is the third umpire

Coulter-Nile to Ojha, no run

edgy stuff from Ojha. Follows a shortish delivery outside off, but fails to edge it

17.2
Coulter-Nile to Ojha, no run

that's a beaut from CN. And they can't believe Asad Rauf has not lifted the finger. Short of a length, on off, holding its line, taking a slight nick through. The umpire and the batsman don't move, though

17.1
Coulter-Nile to Ojha, no run

short of a length, angling in towards off, defended to point

A run a ball required off last three. After so much good work, Scorchers still chasing the game. They need two wickets soon and slip in enough dots to make the asking rate look challenging. Coulter-Nile is back. Five men in the circle
