Chris Morris earned Titans a bonus-point win, as his figures of 4 for 9 in three overs helped his side bundle out Dolphins for 70, their lowest T20 score, steering Titans to a 66-run victory. The win also placed Titans on top of the points table, displacing Dolphins with a five-point lead. Despite boasting the likes of international batsmen like David Miller and Dwayne Bravo, Dolphins failed to chase down 137, and were bowled out in 15.4 overs.
Miller (12) and Bravo (27) were the only batsmen who scored in double figures, as Dolphins collapsed to 35 for 6 in the 10th over, as Morris and Albie Morkel rattled their top order. Bravo and Andile Phehlukwayo stalled the fall of wickets for 3.3 overs with a 25-run stand before David Wiese broke the partnership and Dolphins lost their last four wickets for ten runs. Morkel and Junior Dala picked up two wickets apiece.
After being asked to bat, Titans started well as Quinton de Kock scored a 31-ball 38 that included six fours. Mangaliso Mosehle also contributed at the top with a steady 25, but Titans faced a lower-order slump, losing five wickets in their last three overs, as they scraped to 136 for 9 in their 20 overs. Ryan McLaren and Phehlukwayo took three wickets each.
