The PWCC, who elected to bat, were in problems early as the pace of Tim Messner and Sean Jones made scoring difficult for the top order who become frustrated and wickets started to fall to shots normally associated with the end of the innings.

Messner eventually took 3 for 8, Jones bagged 4 for 34 including a spectacular caught and bowled to remove the wicket of hard hitting Enrique Salas. Ian Walker, back after a two month lay off, took 3 for 3 in as many overs.

Only Ilott showed any real resistance as wickets fell around him. Eventually, PWCC were all out for just 48.

With Las Condes at the crease, Paul Wollocombe made it look like the game was being played on a different wicket as he smashed the bowlers all around the ground for a cavalier 29 before being caught off one of Chris Lidman's whippy seamers. Two other batsman followed in quick succession and a spark of hope appeared in the PWCC side. However, Hollis looking as comfortable as ever and Mouton, who had mastered the art of missing only the balls that were missing the wicket, steered the batting side to comfortable victory in just nine overs.

Sean Jones was awarded Man-of-the Match for some fine pace bowling and his key catch despite a bout of flu.
