  • Umpires Steve Bucknor and B Morgan were officiating in their 74th and 11th match respectively.

  • Abdur Razzaq was playing his 50th match. He became 31st Pakistani and 220th player overall to do so.

  • Andy Flower, at the end of this match, has a tally of 487 runs in 19 matches against Pakistan. He surpassed Sri Lanka's Romesh Kaluwitharana's run-aggregate of 461 from 30 matches. Now only West Indian Jeff Dujon with 609 runs from 43 matches has scored more runs as a `keeper against Pakistan than Flower.

  • Shoaib Malik became fifth Pakistani player to take two catches in a match as a substitute. Others to do so are : Asif Mujtaba (v England at The Oval on 21-05-1987), Shoaib Mohammad (v India at Sharjah on 19-10-1988), Hassan Raza (v Sri Lanka at Calcutta on 27-05-1997) and Yousuf Youhana (v India at Toronto on 13-09-1998).

  • Malik also became the first player to take two catches in a match against Zimbabwe as a substitute.

  • Imran Nazir scored his maiden hundred in his 10th match.At 18 years 121 days he became second youngest to score an ODI hundred after fellow teammate Shahid Afridi who scored a hundred at 16 years 217 days (v Sri Lanka at Nairobi Gymkhana on 04-10-1996).   • Moin Khan has now aggregated 264 runs in 14 matches as keeper against Zimbabwe-most by any keeper in ODIs. He surpassed Sri Lanka's Romesh Kaluwitharana's tally of 252 runs from 16 matches.

  • Imran Nazir won his maiden MoM award. He became fourth youngest player to win the award after fellow contrymen Shahid Afridi (16 years 217 days) and Aaqib Javed (17 years 139 days) and India's Sachin Tendulkar (17 years 225 days).
