ACC XI v African XI
Wisden's report on the second Afro-Asia match
At Chennai, June 9, 2007 (day/night). Second one-day international: Asian Cricket Council XI won by 31 runs. Toss: Asian Cricket Council XI.
Another huge total clinched the series for the Asia XI: their batsmen hit nine sixes in all, three of them off Elton Chigumbura, whose ten overs cost 84. The African tail wagged again - last man Morne Morkel made 25 - but the target was just out of reach. Albie and Morne Morkel opened the bowling for Africa, only the second pair of brothers to share the new ball in one-day internationals after Martin and Tony Suji of Kenya, who did so eight times, most recently during the 1999 World Cup.
