The event itself opens in Johannesburg on 11 September with a game between host South Africa and the West Indies and concludes with the final at the same ground two weeks later. In all there are three venues being used, with Durban and Cape Town also staging matches.

Applications for accreditation can be made in one of three ways:

1. Applicants can complete the Media Accreditation Application Form which can be downloaded from and return it by email to accreditation@rushmans.com, together with a letter of assignment and a photograph showing a clear head and shoulders image of the applicant. The terms and conditions for the tournament are available here.

2. Applicants can apply via the internet. Details of this online application will be sent out on Monday 9 July 2007.

3. If applicants were accredited members of the media at the recent ICC CWC 2007, and if their personal and organisational details remain the same, they can email Peter Osborn at accreditation@rushmans.com advising him of this fact and request that their previous accreditation record be transferred. This email needs to detail which matches at the ICC World Twenty20 (Group and Super Eight stages only) applicants would like to attend and include a letter of assignment for the event. Media will also need to indicate at which venue they would like to collect their accreditation pass if their application is successful.

Please note that the deadline for application is Friday 20 July 2007.

An advisory regarding accreditation for the ICC Awards 2007, which will be held in Johannesburg on 10 September, shall be sent out in due course.
