All three State Shield matches washed out

All three of Wednesday's State Shield matches were washed out without a ball being bowled, giving all six teams two points. This leaves Central Districts at the top of the table with 24 points from eight matches, three points ahead of Otago. Auckland continue to prop up the league, with eight points.

The next round of matches is on Saturday, with Auckland taking on Wellington at Eden Park, while Canterbury face Northern Districts at Christchurch. The top-of-the-table clash takes place on Sunday, when Otago host CD.
