Andre Adams retained for next One-Day International

The selectors have opted to retain Auckland allrounder, Andre Adams, in the CLEAR Black Caps squad for the next National Bank One Day International against Pakistan.

Adams' inclusion is at the expense of Canterbury pace bowler, Chris Martin.

Jacob Oram also rejoins the squad after recovering from an ankle strain sustained during warm-ups before the second ODI at Napier.

Chairman of selectors, Sir Richard Hadlee, said: "Andre is a genuine allrounder and his inclusion strengthens our batting line-up without compromising our bowling options."

Hadlee said the selection panel had asked Chris Martin to now focus on his preparation for the Test Series, where they expect him to be a leading contributor.

The squad is named for the fourth ODI which will be played at Jade Stadium Christchurch on Sunday.
